Do You Need a Pet Resume?

While many condominium communities permit dogs and/or cats, there will be rules and regulations that owners must acknowledge and follow. While few HOAs screen homeowner’s pets  –  abiding by the general rules and regulations is typically all that is required  –  some HOAs are beginning to request more details about pets, especially particular breeds. If your dog or cat doesn’t have a CV you might want to think about having one ready.

A pet resume should have the basics, include a photo or two of your pet and the following:

  • Pet’s name
  • Age
  • Breed
  • Weight
  • Proof of vaccinations and vet reference
  • Information about any training or certification your pat may have

Use fun and engaging copy to share a little about your pet. Especially with large breed dogs, adding a bit of information about your pet’s personality can help people get past breed or size concerns.
